Interplanetary Shock (or CME Arrival)
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Location: Earth
Event Time: 2026-05-15T07:14Z ( ACE: MAG )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
ACE: MAG
ACE: SWEPAM
DSCOVR: PLASMAG
Activity ID: 2026-05-15T07:14:00-IPS-001 (version 2)
Quality of ICME Signature: -1 (unspecified)
Note: Categorized by a sharp enhancement in magnetic field components (B_t: approx. 4.2nT to 12.6nT , B_x: approx. 1.8nT to 8.7nT , B_y: approx. approx. -2.2nT to -6.2nT , B_z: approx. -2.3nT to 7.6nT as well as an increase in solar wind speeds (approx. 400km/s to 600nT), an increase in temperature (approx. 25kK to 400kK) and a decrease in density (approx. 20 p/cc to 5p/cc). This signature is likely associated with a coronal hole high speed stream from a coronal hole which appeared on the Earth facing disk on 2026-05-07.
